    "At the age of seventeen,
I worked on the fantastic, on what I called "le fantastic naturel".
Starting from automatic writing and the mental images of which I found the
equivalences in Nature, I closed the first circle.
Then I realized a fantastic work from natural, realist sources, for entering
the world of imagination. I closed the second circle.

I created a fantastic work inspired
by a realistic source. I liked the notion of Roger Caillois of the "fantastique
rationnel": the foundation of a generalized poetics. As Caillois writes:
"the same postulates, the same methods organize inert material, the rigor
of the sciences, the drift of a reverie."
